Little Ways: Then & Now
From the creators of The Flower Shop, the 70s were reborn and settled here. This time, something seemed different.
What was it? Did Soho get a haircut? Did they find some hidden artwork in a loft on Greene Street? Something is happening on West Broadway, with a particular supper club turning heads. Her name is Little Ways, but what’s her story?
Dear Soho
In 2017, Little Ways leapt out of its co-founders’ arms and into the loving embrace of the Soho community. It was fate that this townhouse restaurant would follow in the footsteps of its beloved sister, The Flower Shop.
Dreamt up by hospitality entrepreneurs Dylan Hales and Ronnie Flynn, Little Ways pays homage to the area’s creative past. Sink into that cozy couch and try The Burbs cocktail, with its rich mix of bourbon, Campari, lime, and ginger beer. Or perhaps go for a refreshing Paloma. It’s your choice, and here – pretty much anything goes.
The Mood: Al Fresco 70s-core
A plant-enveloped skylight roof catches your eye, but not before you plop down on a maroon velvet couch that screams mid-century aesthetic in excited anticipation of your next Negroni. Meanwhile, you check out a cute guy eating a cheeseburger at the bar.
Decisions, decisions. With a drink in hand, you notice the decor, the art – bits of history on the walls. But what catches your attention is the vibe. The crowd here fascinates you. It’s electric. It’s a surprise. It’s a tribute. It’s Little Ways. And you think: wow, they’ve got really great taste.
The Food: It’s Own Moment
Talk about being obsessed with food’s seasonality and the quality of produce. Yes, you’d frequently hear that at any supper club in NYC, but nothing quite like this. Each plate feeds more than its guests. It’s a nod or smile exchange, in between sips of wine and cocktails.
You’re Part of It All
Little Ways is an ode to the artistic spirit of the neighborhood. Sophisticated ease reigns here, with what Vogue’s Eliseé Browchuk describes as “a spread of American fare with a tasteful twist.” The best of it all? It’s ours – yours, theirs. You’ve stepped into another soulful chapter of Soho’s history.
Little Ways Restaurant and Supper Club is open from Tuesday through Friday, 5 pm to 2 am, and Saturdays from 11 am to late, with reservations welcome, too.
